What's the difference between private and shared rooms?

Accepted Answer

Private rooms (Limone, Fico, Rosmarino, Uva) are yours alone, perfect if you need quiet mornings or have confidential client calls. Shared rooms (only available if 2 friends book together) have two single beds in one room, saving you €200+/month. Both include full access to common spaces and community.

Why does Nesting Away require an application? Other colivings don't.

We're selective because community is everything. A bad hire ruins a company; a bad community member ruins 7 people's stay. We want to ensure you're not looking for a party house, and that you respect shared spaces. It's a 15-minute chat, we're checking fit both ways.

What does 'shared room' actually mean?

Accepted Answer

The bedroom is shared (twin beds), so during sleeping hours you need to be considerate of your roommate. Most shared-room guests find it works great because they're friends already.

Do I need a car to stay at Nesting Away?

Accepted Answer

No, you don't need a car. We have a community car available for guests: perfect for grocery runs, local errands, and spontaneous day trips. However, if you want complete freedom to explore regions around like Umbria or Tuscany at your own pace, having a car (rental or your own) gives you flexibility. Many guests do both: use the community car for quick runs, rent a car for weekend adventures. It's optional, not required.

Do all rooms have private bathrooms?

Accepted Answer

No. Most rooms share bathrooms with 1-2 others (never more than 3 people per bathroom, typically 2). Room Limone has a special offer on request: private bathroom (non-ensuite, but right next door) for €150/month extra. We have 4 full bathrooms for 7 rooms, so you're never waiting in line.

Can I extend my stay if I want to stay longer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, absolutely. Just let us know as soon as you can. Give us at least a couple of weeks notice. We'll check availability for your specific room. Many guests in 2025 have extended their stays by weeks because they didn't want to leave. If your room is booked after your checkout date, we'll work with you to find alternatives (different room, waiting list, future dates).

How much does coliving in Italy actually cost compared to other options?

Accepted Answer

Coliving: €41/night (4-week stay), includes everything. Hotel in Rome: €60-150/night, zero community. Airbnb solo: €50-80/night, you're alone. Hostel: €20-35/night but chaotic, mostly tourists. Coliving wins because you get: furnished room, utilities, WiFi, coworking space, weekly cleaning, pool, community events. No hidden fees. Newsletter discount: €100 off first month. The longer you stay, the cheaper it gets: 3 months = €35/night.

Accepted Answer

Yes. Whether you book private or shared, you get €100 off your first month when you subscribe to our newsletter. So private becomes €890/month, shared becomes €590/person/month.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Accepted Answer

Most months fill 6-12 weeks ahead, especially spring/fall. If you want to come in June-July-August, even earlier given the peak season.
